It’s been a few weeks since the last update due to the usual culprits: work, life, other projects.
Controller Support (Continued)
The Title, Select Class, Continue, and Settings screens now have full controller support. I can see why some games lack controller and keyboard support. It’s a lot of work! The Select Class screen was especially difficult because there are so many interactive elements on the screen.
Dungeon Level 1 Design
I worked on finalizing the room types and enemies for level one. I’m designing the room types based on size and category, e.g., combat, treasure, hazard. I removed some of the nastier enemies, such as those that cause negative status effects (snakes, diseased rats), because I want the first level to be a relatively gentle introduction to the game. Traps have largely been removed as well.
New Content
I’m way behind on my “one new piece of content every day” goal, but I think I’ll be able to catch up soon.
Next week, I’ll expand controller support on the main game screen and finalize the room types and enemies for level 1 of the dungeon.
